Eden Gold Desk · XAUUSD · The 764 Method

We don't predict gold. We define the conditions under which each scenario becomes valid.

A transparent daily trading desk: what we expected, what actually happened, and what we learned — every read timestamped and left un-redrawn.

Every call runs The 764 Method — two anchor prices on the displacement leg; a fixed fib grid derives the entire order from them, entry floored at the 0.764 that gives the method its name.

Gold outlook

Conflicted

⚑ Elevated event riskConfidence: —

THE WAR CHANNEL SWITCHED SIDES OVER THE WEEKEND, AND IT SWITCHED THE DOLLAR WITH IT. All last week the transmission was escalation -> dollar bid -> gold down, confirmed on four consecutive sessions and stated as the core of Friday's bearish brief. This morning Trump has called off the planned strike and announced US-Iran talks beginning today (NBC, Anadolu, CCTV, WANA — five separate wires inside 90 minutes, plus a BBC direct quote 'I think there's a deal'). De-escalation removed the dollar's geopolitical bid: DXY printed 99.73 overnight, below the 100 line that Friday's brief named as the flip tell and that we correctly refused to act on at 1-of-3 conditions. Gold is +1.66% on the COMEX front and spot opened the Monday session at 4043.21, gapping straight up to 4079.80 in the first fifteen minutes. But the second channel disagrees: the 10Y is 4.75% and still RISING (+1.76%), Wall Street is still pricing the Warsh hike tail plus balance-sheet tightening, and de-escalation is risk-ON (SPX +0.70%, VIX -6.44%, WTI -6.21%) which is itself a gold headwind. So the dollar says up, rates and risk say down, and the tape agrees with neither: nine hours of balance inside the range the first candle drew. Classification: conflicted. Not bullish, not bearish. This is the second conflicted day in four sessions and the honest read is that the two channels are pulling against each other with no resolution yet on the tape.

What would change our mind?

The 'conflicted, no edge' call is a statement about BALANCE, so it breaks the moment the balance does — and there are exactly two ways. (1) UP: a decisive 15m close above 4079.80 that holds. That sweeps the EQH cluster LuxAlgo has marked twice (4072.19 and 4079.80) and puts the chart's PDH 4087.53 and then Friday's 4111.81 shelf in play; at that point the dollar channel has won and the day is long-biased, not neutral. (2) DOWN: a decisive 15m close below 4043.21 — the day's low, the daily open and Friday's close, all the same number. Below it the unfilled 15m bullish FVG at 4032.53-4036.68 is the first draw and PDL 4021.26 the second; at that point the rate/risk channel has won. Until one of those happens, both edges are liquidity and neither is a trade. WHAT DOES NOT INVALIDATE THIS: price wandering between the edges, a wick through either extreme that closes back inside (that is the sweep we WANT, not a breakout), or the Trump gate firing again — the gate stops entries, it says nothing about direction. A wrong-way DXY print is worth noting, never worth acting on alone: Friday proved the 1-of-3 rule pays.
