Gold is 4623.6, down 31 pips from the 4654.97 it opened at, and the day has been a grind lower.
The overnight tape made the high at 4670.86 at 04:30 and never looked back. London sold it from 4639.41 at 09:00 down to a 4613-4631 range through the late morning. Then the Core PCE and Prelim GDP release at 14:30 drove the day's low of 4598.025 at 15:00, a fresh break of the London low, and price bounced 32 pips off it.
The drivers are the story. The 10 year is up 0.54 percent at 4.66 and the dollar is up 0.24 percent at 99.16, both headwinds, both consistent with a hot PCE print and rate hike odds ticking up. There is no risk-off bid to offset it: equities flat, VIX flat. Silver and oil are down more than gold, which fits a rates pullback rather than a broad selloff.
This desk opened late, monitor-only. No anatomy has been drawn, so there is nothing to grade and nothing to arm. The references that matter: 4598.025 below, then yesterday's 4594.95; 4651.395 above, yesterday's daily open, which would turn today into a failed breakdown if reclaimed.
On the comparison books, both are scalp-placing around the same 4628-4630 shelf this desk is watching. One sold 4627.7 at 14:02 with a 2.8 pip stop, went to breakeven, and closed at breakeven. The other had three morning buys stopped, called it a bad day for buyers, and fired a sell at 15:55 with a stop at 4636.18, live as this is written.
Nothing ordered, no alerts armed, zero risk, 0R.

Flat — nothing mapped
No call on the board. The desk is watching, not chasing — most sessions end here, and that is the method working rather than a gap in the record.
Before & after
The morning chart, left un-redrawn
Charts publish alongside the read; the morning frame is never redrawn after the fact.
The striking feature
Morning thesis vs market reality
Resolves at the end of the session.
The method
Two anchor prices on the displacement leg, and a fixed fib grid derives the whole order: entry floored at the 0.764 that names the method, stop at 1.05, target a fixed span below. R is a consequence of the grid, never a number chosen after the fact. Every read is timestamped and left un-redrawn.
