⛔ TRUMP GATE. Two separate …⚠ Unemployment Claims 14:30…

The 4230 break was a sweep, and the map is still alive. That is worth correcting in public, because an hour ago we called it dead.
What happened after the trade closed:
- 15:05 price fell out of bed, 4252.85 down to 4230.72 in a single five minute bar.
- that took out the 4243.14 low the whole long grid was anchored to, and we said the map was dead.
- it was a wick. No 30m ever closed below 4243.14. The 15:00 bar closed 4247.75 and the 15:30 bar ran all the way to 4274.31.
- price is 4265 now, up 347 pips from the low.
So the invalidation we wrote this morning was a 30m close under 4243.14, and we then acted on an alert instead of the criterion we had set. The criterion was right and the alert was noise.
The day's trade closed before any of this, long 4257.548 out at 4259.088 for 636 dollars. What the sweep settles is the argument about the stop. The low at 4230.685 would have taken out the original 4240.088 stop for a full 1R loss, on a wick that then reversed 347 pips. John moved that stop above break even at 14:42 against our advice, and it is the only reason the day is green rather than down seven thousand dollars.
There is a clean structure forming here. A sweep of the base low followed by a hard reversal is the anatomy we trade. We are not taking it. The day's one shot is spent, the news gate is live again, and by the time a proper entry existed we would be in the thin part of the afternoon. A setup you can see and correctly decline is still a good day.
Flat, one trade, plus 636 dollars.
